The annual fishing tournament was held last weekend. There were 490 kids from our community signed up to go fishing with their parents, grandparents or an adult. This fishing tournament has been going on for over 10 years now and every year it grows bigger and bigger. Just to give you a little insight on how big it has gotten, the Community Base-Ball league cancels all games for this day.
Here are some pictures that I took of the day.
Julie made this picture board. I am so jealous of her talents.
Julie kissing the fish
Julie acting silly before we got really busy. You can see the scales in the background and the tents that were set up for the different activities.
Abbie and Hadley
This birds nest was up in the corner of the pavilion and the mama bird was feeding her babies. I just thought that this was such a good picture taking opportunity.

Tommy Gill, one of the members at Joelton, was in the hospital on the day of the Fishing Tournament, however thanks to a lot of other people who tried to fill his shoes, lots of kids with their adults went fishing at his pond. He was so proud that 3 of the "Super Fish" came out of his pond. One thing that I would like to say about Tommy is that he is definitely a fighter. He came by the bank where I work the other day with the results from his most recent doctors visit. His white blood count was 1 on the day of the FT and it is now up to 10.8. He also said that there are no leukemia cells from the most recent Bone Marrow Biopsy that was done. Praise God. We love you Tommy!!!!!!
